Virtual Study Groups

Virtual Study Hubs

UofT offers scheduled Virtual Study Hubs to help students find their focus and stay on track while campus is closed. Virtual Study Hubs have multiple time slots per day, to accommodate students on different work schedules and in different time zones.

To register for a Virtual Study Hub, visit CLNx and log in with your UTORid and password. You will find a dashboard of Upcoming Events/Workshops, and you can click on ‘View’ on a given Virtual Study Hub session. You will then be directed to a page that gives you the details of the event and provides an option to instantly register.

When you register, the confirmation email will give you the direct link to the session: please check your inbox. You may need to sign in with your U of T credentials to join the session: if you’re new to Zoom, you can go to the U of T Zoom Portal (https://utoronto.zoom.us) to log in with your UTORid and password.

Grad Writing and Productivity Groups

Graduate Writing and Productivity Groups provide a small, informal and encouraging atmosphere for you to focus on your goals (whether that is thesis-writing, coursework, TAing, or research work) with the support of an experienced graduate student facilitator.

At the beginning and end of the session, participants have the opportunity to discuss their goals, progress, and strategies.

This is a great opportunity to connect with graduate students in other departments.

For more information, please visit the Grad Writing Group and Grad Productivity Group websites. You can register for Grad Productivity groups through CLNx, and to register for Grad Writing Groups you can contact gwg@utoronto.ca.
